Pipedrive

Support and sales work from one customer record

About this App

Pipedrive is a CRM your sales team uses to track people, organizations and deals. Connect it to SparrowDesk and your contacts are kept in sync as Pipedrive Persons, closed conversations are logged as Notes on the Person, and agents see the Person’s sales details right next to the conversation in the Inbox. Support and sales work from one customer record, without copying data between two tabs.

With Pipedrive connected, your team can:

  • Sync new and updated SparrowDesk contacts to Pipedrive as Persons, with the fields you map
  • Log each closed conversation as a Note on the customer’s Pipedrive Person
  • See the Person’s name, organization, owner, labels and open, won and lost deal counts in the Inbox
  • Create a Pipedrive Person from the sidebar without leaving the conversation
  • Open the Person in Pipedrive with View in Pipedrive

Good to know:

  • Sync runs one way. Contacts and Notes go from SparrowDesk to Pipedrive. Changes made in Pipedrive aren’t pulled back, but the sidebar reads from Pipedrive live, so agents see current details.
  • Persons only. Organizations aren’t created, matched or attached. The sidebar still shows the Person’s existing Pipedrive organization, read-only.
  • Notes are created when a conversation is closed, not resolved. Only conversations created after you turn on conversation sync are logged, and the requester must already be linked to a Person.
  • One Note per conversation. If a conversation is reopened and closed again, the same Note is updated with the full transcript.
  • Deleting a contact doesn’t delete the Person. Only the link between them is removed.
  • The Pipedrive section is visible to members with the App Store privilege. Deal titles and values aren’t listed, and deals can’t be created from the sidebar.
  • Disconnecting keeps your setup. Your field mapping and sync toggles are saved for when you reconnect, and Persons and Notes already in Pipedrive stay there.

How to enable this integration?

You’ll need the App Store privilege in SparrowDesk (Admins have it by default, and Managers need it granted) and a Pipedrive login that can approve app access for your Pipedrive company. Pipedrive is available on Professional and Enterprise plans.

  1. In SparrowDesk, go to Settings → Apps & Integrations
  2. Find the Pipedrive card, click it, and click Connect
  3. Sign in to Pipedrive and approve access for SparrowDesk
  4. Open the field mapping, map a name and email to Pipedrive Person fields, and click Save
  5. Turn on Sync contacts to Pipedrive
  6. Turn on Sync conversations to Pipedrive if you want closed conversations logged as Notes

You connect Pipedrive once for your whole SparrowDesk account, and all brands share the same connection. Nothing syncs until you map your fields and turn on contact sync.

Key features and benefits

Sales context before you reply. The Pipedrive section in the conversation sidebar and on the contact profile shows the Person’s name, organization, owner, labels and deal counts, read live from Pipedrive.

Contact sync without duplicates. Email is the match key. If a Person with that email already exists, SparrowDesk links and updates it instead of creating a new one, so the same email never creates two Persons.

Support history in Pipedrive. Each closed conversation becomes a Note on the Person, with the transcript, a link back to the conversation in SparrowDesk and the conversation ID. This covers email, chat, WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram conversations, including chats closed by Zoona.

Your fields, your mapping. Choose which SparrowDesk contact fields go to which Pipedrive Person fields. Both lists include custom fields, and only mapped fields are written to Pipedrive.

Work isn’t held up by sync. Contacts sync in the background, whether they’re created one at a time, in bulk or through the API.
